Christmas is fast approaching!!!

Hello everyone – I’ve been busy again making some new gifts for the various Hunts and special Faires currently on in Second Life. Let me tell you about a few of them.

Next the Medieval Fantasy Hunt which is themed ” Once Upon a Dark Time” should bring in some lovely dark items for you to hunt. Next on the agenda – a new Hunt for me … A Yule Hunt which is being organised by Sacred Cauldron. The Hunt runs from 15th December until 15th Jan. Contact Kara Foxdale for more information.

Here’s a few more new things from Goddess Fantasies : A wonderful winter festival is going to be happening soon – and yes I have a stall there Christkindlmarkt will be running all through December

A grid wide hunt by Sacred Cauldron runs from Dec 15, to Jan 15. It should be a good one – so keep your eyes open for notices :0 I have the gift made already … and it’s a secret!

Great news for Role players! The Isle of Dee has reopened and is at this address in Second Life – Isle of Dee, Zebre (127, 130, 4004) – it is a Moderate sim so be careful with your dress code! The owners and admins have worked really hard to create a wonderful place for you to play in – so please be sensible and play nicely.

Apologies for my lack of blogs!!!

I am so sorry I haven’t blogged for a while – it’s hard to run a business, design, create, model, wash the floors and blog too. My lovely Jilly has been awol too, her pc was playing up, but here i am again with some fabulous new designs just for you all!!

Merry Meet! My name is Jilly and I am thrilled to be invited to post at the Goddess Fantasies blog. I am also model in the gorgeous shop owned by the talented Tattoo Lane. I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. In the virtual world of Second Life, you will find me in two sizes: Petite and “Biggie”. Pfft, Biggies don’t like being referred to as such because they were there first. However, Petites are often called “Tinies” and we find that equally distasteful. Why? Because there is a copyrighted avatar called Tinies, they can only wear prims. Plus, they’re animals. Petites is a whole other ball game! Petites are a specific mesh avatar, only able to wear certain base clothing with prim accessories. No matter my height, by default I wear faery wings and feline ears, whiskers, eyes and a tail. I honor a real life kitty who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. All that aside. I seek only the best of fashion and accessories within Second Life and that led me to Goddess Fantasies. A friend sent me the shop link because there are wings…well, I then discovered there were fantastic gowns with lush textures and attention to detail…and hoorah, word has come to my pointed ear (since, yes, I am a fae), Tattoo is working on a Petite line of her gowns! Come along on a journey and discover why Goddess Fantasies is like no other store in all of Second Life.

Long time no see!! Sorry for the huge gap in blogging!

OK so these >>>> are the reasons why I haven’t been blogging! It’s hard work running a store on your own when you are chief cook and bottle washer as well as head gopher ( goes for this, goes for that) model, advertising manager, photographer, designer, marketing manager, dress maker and hunt gift maker too – as well as designing posters for friends and trying to have an SL of my own, finding time to blog is really difficult. Any volunteers would ALWAYS be welcome!!

Bloggers get a wonderful deal – for writing  a page about clothing which is sent to them free – they try on the clothing ( jewellery, hats, shoes whatever they are blogging about) take a few photos, insert it into their blog and post the blog, then send the blog to all the friends and relations of the store they are blogging for. It’s a cool way to get loads of new free clothes. If you haven’t ever thought of blogging before – it could become a hobby for you and being paid in clothing etc is a brilliant way of doing things! Yes HINT HINT HINT!!!!

Have a look at the photos below – I’ve had a great time building a couple of houses and things – it makes a change from clothing………….

HUNTING TIME AGAIN!!!!!!YAYYYY!!!!!!

http://historicalhunts.blogspot.fi/ is one of the places you should go to if you want a sneak peek at the information about the Steam 8 Hunt – courtesy of Mister Perryn Peterson, Mayor of Mieville Steampunk sims. This Hunt is always really popular, and the gifts are startlingly good!!

As well as creating these for the hunts – I have again ventured into the complicated world of mesh clothing – with a new line of sweet and fruity Chinese cheongsams – close fitting silk dresses – this new and vibrant set is named after juicy fruits – and perfectly reflects the freshness of their style!

Wow so many visitors at my new store :)

I have been overwhelmed with some lovely compliments on the new layout of the store and the fantasy look and feel of it. To those amazing people who really boosted my ego – a huge thank you! I have now extended my bargains  and have a huge array ( to be added to as time goes on) of $1,£10 , $25 and $50 dollarbies which will be a permanent fixture in the store. They are all upstairs in the main store and are all clearly labelled. It’s taken a lot of time and effort to do it – and some items have been in storage for a while – so forgive the old boxes!

I hope you’ll pop over and have a look – there’s some Hunt gifties which are varying prices ( but all really good value) and some old stock that was popular too.

I have a new range of clothing called Tenderotica which I’ll preview for you so you can see it. Again good prices for everyone…..

The slashed camis are $50L each and the capris are $50L or you can buy a fatpack of them all for only $250L – a bargain! Look for the Tenderotica display near the huge purple robot. The robot is a pose ball with five poses in and unfortunately is not for sale – but do  bring your friends and have fun taking photos of him with you all on him!

New look store!!! It’s gorgeous!!!! And LAGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Oh I am soo excited about my new look store – I’ve made it even more fantasy and have HUGE flowers and mushrooms all over the place! There’s a new Fairy portal at the new entrance landing point and its just – well . I’ve had loads of compliments and now feel the store looks so much better than before!

I have also installed a gateway which limits avatar scripts to 100 – a fairly large amount of scripts for most avies. So if you come loaded up with weapons, dripping with jewellery or carrying far too many huds – you won’t be able to get in! I have been accused of having a laggy place – in fact my shop isn’t laggy – but many avatars don’t realise that they actually create their own lag by wearing abnormally highly scripted items including resizer scripts in clothing , hair and shoes.

I’ve put up a board that shows how many scripts your avatar is wearing, so you can actually see for yourself, and a couple of notices to explain how lag is created by you. There’s also a gift of a lag meter in one of the notices that you can take away and have a look at home.  If you are stopped at the gate and can’t get in – I apologise – but – I want your shopping experience to be lag free – and this is one good way to do it. It by the way also encourages people to not just pop in to grief etc .. so it’s good all round.

Please do let me know if you find I have been grumpy about this or whether you think it works well for you – I’m trying to let  all my shoppers enjoy the most pleasant shopping experience – whether you are coming for the lucky chairs, Mm boards, or one and ten dollarbies ( which are upstairs) or whether you are shopping for a special rp item of clothing – please do take note of your own lag.
